I’ve always been drawn to advertisements that feel timeless rather than nostalgic. This Hires Rootbeer advertisement is one of those pieces. The black and white photography, classic typography, and simple composition give it a quiet presence that feels just as natural in a modern home as it did when it was first published.

This original 16” × 19” framed advertisement is the kind of piece I imagine on a kitchen shelf, above a coffee station, or layered into a reading nook where it brings a little warmth without asking to be the center of attention. Those spaces rarely need more. They simply need the right piece.

Every advertisement in the collection is an authentic vintage original, never a reproduction or modern print. I pair each one with a refined matte brass frame and an off-white mat because the presentation matters just as much as the artwork itself. The frame was chosen to complement today’s interiors, giving the piece a sense of permanence while allowing the advertisement to remain the focus.

For me, that’s what makes a home feel collected instead of decorated. Choosing pieces with history, displaying them with intention, and letting them quietly bring the room together.
