Kotex “Very Personally Yours”

Nina’s Note ~

There’s something wonderfully charming about this 1949 Kotex advertisement. The soft illustration, garden setting, and two women give the piece the feeling of a vintage storybook rather than traditional advertising.

The muted colors and hand-painted style give it a gentle presence. It feels warm, feminine, and quietly playful without becoming overly nostalgic.

This 15.75” × 18.75” original 1949 advertisement feels especially at home in a bathroom, powder room, bedroom, or dressing area. The soft palette works naturally with warm wood, cream, muted blue, and aged brass.

Every piece in the collection is an authentic vintage original, never a reproduction or modern print.

This piece is paired with a beautiful medium-brown frame and an off-white mat. The warmer finish complements the aged paper and earthy colors in the illustration. It gives the piece a collected, timeless feel while allowing the artwork to remain the focus.

The best vintage advertising often becomes something more than what it was made to sell. This one captures a small, beautifully illustrated moment from 1949 and turns it into a piece that feels personal, unexpected, and worth keeping.
