I’ve always loved the simplicity of this Calvert Extra advertisement. The black and white photography, generous negative space, and understated typography give it a calm presence that feels just as relevant today as it did in 1968. It doesn’t compete with a room. It settles into it.

This original 16” × 19” framed advertisement is one I often picture in a reading nook, hallway, or layered into a living room where it quietly draws you in. I especially love it as part of our Bedroom Collection., where its softer palette and thoughtful composition create a sense of calm without asking for attention.

Every advertisement in the collection is an authentic vintage original, never a reproduction or modern print. That history matters to me, but so does how it lives in your home today. Each piece is paired with a refined matte brass frame and an off-white mat because the presentation should feel every bit as intentional as the artwork itself. The frame isn’t there to stand out.
